What We Do

Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)

The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is the 25-year vision for transportation in Palm Beach County. It forecasts where people will live and work, evaluating the existing transportation network, and identifies projects that will serve our needs in the future. Updated every five years, the LRTP provides the MPO with a blueprint to address shifting transportation needs over the next two decades.

The Vision 2050 LRTP was adopted on December 12, 2024 and last amended June 18, 2026.

Regional Coordination

The Southeast Florida Transportation Council (SEFTC) serves as a forum for advancing regional transportation initiatives. Members from Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties work together to develop and implement a coordinated planning effort through the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
The RTP is developed in coordination with other regional and local plans and supports a shared vision for the future of transportation in Southeast Florida. Adopted in June 2025, the RTP is updated every five years to respond to population change and the evolving transportation needs of the region.
